Marriage and birth certificate attestation
You need attested marriage and birth certificates for family visas, newborn visas, school admissions and legal matters.
- Issued in the UAE: birth certificates are attested by the Ministry of Health and Prevention (a stamp from DHA or DOH is accepted as equivalent), then by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA).
- Issued abroad: attested in the issuing country, then by the UAE embassy there, then by MOFA in the UAE.
Educational certificate attestation
Degrees, diplomas, transcripts and school certificates are needed for employment visas, further study and professional licences.
- Issued in the UAE: attested through the UAE Ministry of Education (MOE), then MOFA.
- Issued abroad: attested by the education authority and foreign ministry of the country of study, then by the UAE embassy there, then MOE and MOFA in the UAE.
Equivalency certificates
An equivalency certificate is the UAE government's formal recognition that a foreign qualification matches UAE standards. It is a separate academic review and often needs the earlier attestation chain to be complete first. We prepare the file, submit it and follow it up. MOE attestation in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and the other emirates
MOE services are online, so you do not need to be in a particular emirate to apply. We submit your application, answer any queries from the ministry and send you the attested documents, wherever you live in the UAE.
MOFA attestation vs MOE attestation
MOFA checks the official signatures and seals on a document. MOE (and, for higher-education qualifications, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research where applicable) reviews the qualification itself. Many documents need both, in order.
